I was born in Poços de Caldas, Brazil, and moved to the United States when I was seven years old. While there, I began studying classical singing, where I focused on the Italian, German and French languages. I sang professionally for over 10 years, which not only allowed me to perfect my language studies, but also exposed me to many different cultures around the world. After graduating with a degree in Performing Arts Administration, I immediately began working for an arts organization in the New York area. After a three year stint in the field, I decided to take a different career path and went to work for an investment bank in New York. Thus began my fruitful exposure to corporate America. Returning to my homeland in 2017, I soon began teaching English for various public schools in the Poços de Caldas region. My studies in pronunciation, diction and intonation as a means of expression in other languages become immediately present in my classes. I firmly believe that having a comfortable environment and welcoming students to make mistakes during classes is the key to perfecting and internalizing language efficiently.
